I have a OptiBeam OB2-80+ on a 100 foot tower using a motor coupling on a M2
2800 rotor. It uses a drive shaft system. Been in service a year and works
like a champ. The coupling is what you would hookup a 100 HP electric motors
to a pump. The center is a flexible hard rubber. If interested I could set
up some pictures. 73 Gene K2QWD enjoying retirement.

said it was in Dave Leeson's book
"Physical Design of Yagi Antennas" Leeson used a BMW drive shaft flex
coupler, sounds like that is what you are doing.
I have his book around here somewhere, I'm going to look it up.

It was actually Dave Leeson, W6NL, ex-W6QHS, and it was in his book
"Physical Design of Yagi Antennas." I recall he used a BWM coupler part. Of
course at his hilltop QTH above Los Gatos the winds occasionally hit 140
MPH!
