FWIW, I used 450 feet on a KenPro KR2000 (KenPro sold their rotator line to Yaesu and the KR2000 is the same as G2800(?)) for years without problems. I used the stuff with a pair of #14 conductors.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Long Cable for Yaesu Rotor

Does anyone have any experience with long runs of rotor cable
for a Yaesu G-1000?

I'm planning for a run of 400' and I'm thinking that maybe too long,
even using the heavier cable.
