John - I've been quite satisfied with the Alpha Delta center piece for
field expedient dipoles. It has a built in PL-259 and stainless steel studs
to which you attach your wires. It also has stout points to tie off your
wires and a support rope point. For permanent dipoles, I'm a big fan of
the COMTEK or BalunDesigns baluns that have the same features, but are
excellent current baluns as well.
