Thanks, Jeff. There are some mechanical issues with that in this 
installation.

73, Jim ##  another option is to cut the parasitic ele as a DIR. Then relay 
switchin some uh in each leg...to make it a REF.  You could run DCV up the coax 
tooperate the DPST relay to pull this off.   Easier said than done 
though....espif the ant is used on both SSB and CW.   3-6uh per leg would 
probably do the trick. ##  another option, since you have a 120 ft tower....is 
a 80m shortened rotary dipoleabove your steppir..and inline with the steppir 
boom.  No gain, but at least it has a 15 dbFS ratio....plus u can point it 
anywhere u want. No increase in windload or rotor demands.  Jim  VE7RF
