You can see all of that on the arrl mast software at a glance. Huge difference
in strength.
All quite true. One possible argument in favor of a 2 inch mast
has to do with stiffness. The large diameter mast will be
considerably stiffer, and will not provide as much "shock absorber"
function to protect the tower and/or rotator. Just
playing devil's advocate.
