I brazed an 8ft ground rod to the end of about 200ft of 2in copper strap
and dropped it into the hole. I doubt that it is doing anything but it
made the owner feel better about his plastic hole. The ground rod seemed
to sink several feet into silt at the bottom of the well.

There are at least 6 other 8ft conventional rods driven around the tower
and TX building.
