I've also had excellent results with a G-2800DXA rotating a 2-el Force 12
Magnum 240N 40M beam at 120ft and a G-1000DXA rotating a 4-el SteppIR at
100ft. Over a decade with no problems. I use Green Heron RT-21D
controllers.

No one seems to like the Yaesu 2800. I have 2. One is turning a stack of
big yagis (6el 15M on 45 ft boom and 4 el 20M on 34 ft boom). Its loafing
with that load from what I can see. 8 years on the job and never a whimper.
-25F turn, wind, minor icing so far. No issue.

I hate the controllers. But the new Hygain controller for Yaesu is just the
ticket and reasonably priced.
