Hi Jeff,

It’s not an issue.  There is even less chance of this happening if you use pvc 
coated wire as I do (rather than bare wire).  ALL of my wire antennas (for the 
past 23 years at this qth) are touching trees, in trees, in good and bad wx and 
have been used with 1200 – 1500 watts.  My 4-squares also have one or more 
elements attached to ropes and there has never been an issue with the ropes 
either.

I am considering putting up an inverted L for 80 or 160 possibly both .
My concern is the antenna will invariably touch some limbs or limbs will
touch the antenna with the wind and rain storms, ice etc. how much of a
fire hazard is there with this at the 1500 watt power level?

Also have the same concern at the feed point any information or experience
with this would be appreciated.
