N4SF tells me that the wire he uses is called BUSS10 (for the 10 gauge version) and it is made by (or at least distributed by) a company called Wesbell Electronics LLC.  Wesbell's website says that the wire is tin plated, not nickel plated like the QCoils website says.

I guess that's why we call ourselves amateurs ...
