I operated SS Phone with the Hickory Lake Contest Club at K2NNY this
year. We arrived Friday night and were relaxing and talking about things
contesters and Hams talk about, when one of the ops says "I saw an ad
in NCJ about this program where you can type the exchange in any
order and it sorts it out for you."

Well, I just couldn't resist. I said "That's TR-Log and I use it all the time.
In fact, I have it on my laptop. Want to look at it?"

Well, I set it up quickly in simulator mode and let him play with it.
Everyone loved it and we decided to use it for the contest. We ran the
whole contest on my laptop without a glitch. All the ops were familiar
with CT and NA, but had never used TR. I expected someone to not like
it, but everyone raved about the program.

We usually had one op at the mike and another handle logging. We
made a game of it at times to see if the op could get ahead of me
logging. I'd pick one call out of the pileup and have it in the callsign
window, but the other op might work a different call. Never phased TR,
just put the new call in the exchange window with CALLSIGN UPDATE
ENABLE and kept going. Couldn't get ahead of the program! We gave it
a workout and TR passed with flying colors.

I expect you will be getting a few orders from the group soon!
