Try this:
ctrl/alt/del to reboot
When the message "starting windows" appears, hit F8.
An options box will appear. Choose the one that says "step by
step confirmation."
Answer NO to anything not required by TR: CD-rom, Sound card,
Windows, etc.
At the end, you will be at a dos prompt with minimal stuff running.
Type "loadhigh smartdrv c+"
Start TR.
