[TRLog] SBDVP in a multi-op environment

I'm looking for the most elegant way of being able to switch among
previously recorded sets of DVP files. Each op would have his own set
of DVP files. What is wanted is a method of loading a new set of files
on the fly, i.e. at op changeover, which requires minimum intervention
by the op and minimum changeover time.

It appears that, to redirect sbdvp and TR to a new set of files, the
PATH = statement in TR has to be reset to the new file location and the
sbdvpcfg.dat file has to have the new path name. Also, and more
problematic, it appears that to switch dvp paths you have to exit TR,
unload sbdvp, reload sbdvp and restart TR. Lots of room for operator
error, especially if he is a TR newbie (as most of them will be).

Am I missing something here?

Any suggestions?

TIA for your help de Jim Smith VE7FO
