Thanks to Tree and Mark, KD4D for responding to my queries.
Mark suggested that in S&P mode, the exchange window is always
visible and is always green. In CQ mode the exchange window is not
always visible and when it is visible it is purple. So an
unambiguous S&P indicator is a green exchange window.
While playing with this, it also occurred to me that one could
include "S&P" in the S&P F-key descriptive line. That would do the
trick too.
