Ah, so.  That may explain it, then.  I think when you run DOS with Windows
98 and the Windows memory manager provides the Extended Memory that
Protected Mode TR-Log needs.

In any case, it appears that removing the "NOEMS" parameter from EMM386 in
CONFIG.SYS solves my problem by allowing EMM386 to setup Extended Memory.
The really cool thing is that TR-Log now reports 45 MB of available memory
which should remove the memory limitation!
