Now for the theoretical answer...(I teach Network Concepts at a local
Community College.) Since 10BaseT is a BaseBand transmission system (as is
the 10Base2), it does not have the susceptibilty to RF that a Broadband
system would. In addition, the error recovery would mask any failures that
might occur. I do recommend Cat 5 wire rather than the older Cat
3/telephone wire.
I also have 4 PC's connected via a $39.95 hub, Cat 5 wire, RJ-45, etc. They
are connected via Serial ports, sound cards, etc. to the HF and VHF radio.
The antenna cables are about 18" from the network cables at the closest
point. I have had no known problem (If I don't know about it.....?)

For a change, here's a question not dealing with a problem:
Currently my 2 computer network uses RG58 and BNC connectors
(10Base2) to connect the Ethernet cards. Thinking of switching to
RJ45/twisted pair cabling with a hub and I wonder if anyone has
had any RF problems (either network noise in the radio or RFI into
the network)?
