Hi,

Trying to get another part of Writelog working to enjoy it more, but have
goten stuck. If there is an archive by month or title I should search for
Please let me know where to look, and I'll happily do some more research. If
not, would appreciate some help to get over the last hurdle.

The rig is a KW TS-440S, with a Dell Laptop. Have been running PSK31
using cables connected to speaker out for recieve and AFSK in for transmit.
This worksOK, but the mic is hot during PSK,(very undesirable) and must be
attached, else no signal out. Using standard radioshack isolation xfrmrs
there.

    Questions are;

Is there a better/safer way to hook up PSK to a TS440S, without going
through the mic input with a divider circuit to prevent overdriving the mic?

Has anyone worked out a minimal cabling set-up that would allow
soundboard RTTY, Voice, and PSK using a TS 440S?

Trying to avoid multiple cables for multiple modes, if I can?

Second Topic I think is more a Windows/perhaps Writelog Config issue.

Testing into a dummy load, If I play a ssb recorded message <msg2.wav> by
pressing the F2 key, The rig keys, and plays the message (based on power into
the load, and by altering the message recorded with shift F2, it is clear the
message changes). I have no audio from the wav file when it plays on the pc
speaker so I can't"hear" what is sent. I do have normal recieve as soon as it
is complete playing. I also have no output mic -> soundcard -> speaker out
for any hope of Vox control at the rig. If I speak into the mic, while the
msg2.wav is playing, it does transmit through by adding the 2 signals and
transmits both into the dummy load.

Obviously I can't proceed, so I am asking for help to get it all right.

Awaiting replies and thanks in advance

Phil
