Me, either...in one way I hated to see the FCC abolish the requirement to get
a callsign that is correct for the geographic region in which one lives, when
moving.  Then again, I can see the point of the ham who establishes himself
and subsequently moves to another district, such as after retirement, who
would like to retain his callsign as part of his on-the-air- identity.

Yeah, it's really great to work a KH6 or KL7 in a contest like SS, only to
find that he's located somewhere in the lower 48, especially in a section
that's not otherwise difficult to work!  :-)
