Subject: [WriteLog] VxD Exception when loading Writelog log files

When I attempt to open a contest log file with Writelog v10.28C I get slight
variations of the following error, rendering the application unusable:

Fatal exception 06 has occurred at 0028:C02A389B in VXD VWIN32(05) +
000023C3.

It appears that the Writelog application is accessing a system virtual
device driver in VWIN32. The only situation that has changed is getting DSL
service (always on) and a new monitor (Sony). I still get the error if I
disconnect the LAN (DSL) cable. What is Writelog attempting to access when
it opens a contest log? All I can think of is a driver doesn't exist, it's
the wrong one or a call to open an already open driver might be the cause.
Any help on identifying the problem would be most appreciated considering
the ARRL 10-Meter contest is coming up and I can't participate without a
fix.
