According to the HELP file, it's supposed to work that way. Looks like
you've found an interesting bug, George. On my W5XD+ keyer, TUNE can only be
stopped when you hit ESC or one of the paddles. But after you switch to the
second radio entry window one time, any key will stop TUNE. I guess if you
don't have a second radio configured, the feature will never work as
documented. Also note that the HELP file says the TUNE command isn't
supported by all keyer types. I'm not sure if it will work with "PC
generates CW", and if it does I don't know if a tap on the paddle will stop
it.
I missed this bug in the beta because I always switched radios at least once
before testing TUNE!
