Robert, you're no wally - that's how it works. Jerry gave one work-around,
but the best is just not to worry about duplicate serial numbers! IT
DOESN'T MATTER.
This has been discussed before, and I don't think there's a perfect way to
handle that. If you got a new number on B, and then didn't ever get the guy
you thought you were going to get on A, then you could end up with MISSING
serial numbers. MISSING or DUPLICATE, something has to give.
