[WriteLog] bad recorded audio hum

I can't duplicate the problem here right now, I am currently building the
system, but I have a Non-Ham friend whos PC has the built in AC97 audio and
if he dials up a connection to the Internet, his CD stops playing, ie the
sound is seemingly disabled. Sometimes it requires a re-boot to straighten
things out. He uses 98SE. Perhaps this is motherboard or BIOS specific.
Anyone having this problem, please post your specifics, and I, as I am sure
others will try to narrow the problem down.
