With both the SB Live I used to have, and the TB Santa
Cruz I am using now, the boost was insufficient to help
with my Heil Pro dual element microphone (HC4 and HC5)
It still needed an amplifier. Since I didn't want to have
this "antenna for RFI/EMI" called a mike amp, I chose
to use the cheap microphone supplied with SB Live for
recording these DVK messages. These cheap microphones
have too wide a response but the rig mike
circuitry will filter anyway.
