Font Problem
This is a rather minor problem. The actual
fonts used in the WriteLog log and in almost
all setup menus are fine.
However, when I go to Save As, the title bar
in the dialog box says "???????????????"
instead of "Save As", like it should.
Also, some WriteLog setup windows have only
"??????????" on the tabs.
This also happens in certain other programs,
so it is a Windows XP Pro problem, not a
WriteLog problem. This happens on a new
Toshiba laptop. Toshiba tech support, as
expected, refuses to help. Windows online
help has nothing about this problem. But this
WriteLog list includes many real experts, so
I am hopeful for a solution before the
problem gets worse and disables the laptop,
like during a contest.
Some dialog boxes display a string of squares
instead of ???????????????. This happens in
the dialog box title bar, and also in the
dialog message text.
Somewhere in the registry, perhaps the wrong
font is specified for certain dialog boxes.
Or maybe there is a missing font.
Will greatly appreciate any help.
