Software providers often only guarantee performance on a specific platform
(usually the one they developed on). That doesn't mean it won't work on others.
I remember evaluating a demo copy of DOS-based RITTY under Win9? on a
computer that did not have the specified sound card. It worked fine for me
at that time. BTW, I thought RITTY's ability to print both cases (ltrs and
figs) simultaneously was an outstanding feature. Sure wish other software
TUs did this also.
