Now, where have I heard THIS before?

I agree Bob, however don't feel that you're alone. You're just traveling
the path of all new Writelog users. The fact that you have to edit the ini
file to make things work, much less that those things aren't included by
default, is just another learning curve of the program.

Writelog's evolution has included numerous enhancements but they come with
one caveat. They're not accessible from within the program itself. Right
or wrong, its up to the end user to read the release files for each version
to see what changes are made, and include them on your own. The Help file
does include a section on the INI file, and my suggestion is to sit down,
open writelog and open the ini file. Search the help file for the ini
section and then go through each and every single section, reading each and
every single line, and adding those that you need. I guarantee, you'll find
things that you didn't know existed and that you'd like to implement.

Once you've settled on existing ini file options, you'll have to keep up
with the reflector, because it's the only place that you'll be notified when
new versions add new features. Then you'll have to decide whether or not you
want to include them into your ini file. It would be nice if these options
were configurable from within the program's configuration panel, but in
light of the fact that it hasn't changed in years, I wouldn't expect to see
its implementation any time soon. Just remember that all changes and
enhancements implemented in new versions of Writelog will require you to
edit the ini file, and that those changes are not implemented automatically.

Of course, at all times, be careful when editing your ini file, and always
make a backup BEFORE you do, because if you include invalid information, the
program will simply fail to run.
