The K5D group was using Win-Test for the logging. The operators did their own
"decoding", i.e. no software was used for decoding the CW. I'm not sure on RTTY
what they were using but suspect it was MMTTY as that integrates into Win-Test.

Got this info from Glen, W0GJ, one of the co-leaders.

Good Morning All:

I've been fiddling around with a few different CW decoders --including
the two different options within Writelog. Perhaps its me, but I cant
make much sense out of the tuning indicators, and find the results less
than workable here.

The absolute best decoder I've worked with is the CW Skimmer program.
I am specifically trying to use them for short-bust, fast and weak,
high-QRM/QRN decoding--similar to the K5D environment or contesting.
Seems most of the "multi-function" packages cant get their decoders
synced up before the whole exchange is over.

So..are there other decoders that will integrate into WL like MMTTY does
for RTTY?

What was K5D using for logging their CW contacts. Cant imagine they
were hand typing all the calls in.

I can copy pretty solid text at 20 and short bursts faster, but some of
the machine sent stuff goes by me--so tell me what you all are using for
CW w/ Writelog or stand alone hi perf decoders.

Thanks
