Hello,

The problem showed up in the recent DRCG RTTY Contest when a double click
on a function key would not send the function statement twice. The
function statement would be sent once and the second xmission of the
statement would be held in something like a buffer. When another function
key would be hit, the second previous function statement would be xmitted
and the radio returning to receive before the the most recent function key
statement was xmitted. (Hitting the Esc would clear the "buffer".) The
function keys didn't work properly when a function statement is ended with
a %E followed by a space. Remove the trailing space and the function keys
worked okay.

Unfortunately, I didn't find this solution until started playing with the
function key statements after the Contest. Also, this was the first
contest using a wireless keyboard (Logitech K350). A direct connected USB
keyboard had been used in the past. No, I haven't reconnected the old
keyboard to see if there is a correlation between the %Espace issue and the
wireless keyboard. Don't remember the function key problem in the past
(using V11.11C now).

Is this something, no space after %E if using a wireless keyboard, I missed
in reading the Help file on how to program function keys?

  73,
  Mike, K4GMH
