You did not get the gist of my suggestion. Do not keep separate logs for
contacts. Just keep an EMPTY log file named something like "CWmessages.wl"
in this file set up your CW messages then save the file. Create another
EMPTY log file with the RTTY messages named "RTTYmessages.wl".Now when you
are going to be running CW go to the setup messages window, click on the
"Browse" button and select the "CWmessages.wl" file and those messages will
be loaded. When operating RTTY open the "RTTYmessages.wl" file the same
way. DO NOT open those files to log in them, just use them to set the
messages. Open your usual log file for QSO's, just use them to set the
messages. That way you can switch all of the messages in a couple of
seconds, without having to retype anything. You could even keep one for PSK
if desired. The ability to almost instantly change all of the messages has
been there just about forever if you know what you are doing. Like I
said, when setting up for a contest I create my log for the contest, then
browse to the previous years contest to load the messages. I usually make a
few minor changes but mostly they are what I have copied from Don's web
page. Keith's Fkeys program also has the ability to save configurations for
different contests that can also help.
