I appreciate the "danger" in which case you can temporarily disconnect from
the internet while conducting the test.
My major point is if you are troubleshooting a problem that many others do
not appear to have it is likely something in your local computer
environment. You have to think through all the things that might be
different between your system and others. One usual difference is virus
programmes which have been shown to impact various pieces of ham radio
software.
I'm simply suggesting you not overlook that possibility.
