Went out for dinner and when I came back, I fired up CSS and WL again.
Initially, the 'radio>headphone split' was again greyed out. However,
sometime between closing that window out to go do more reading and then
opening it up again, it had become clickable (no longer greyed out). No CLUE
what caused it, but I've got L and R audio properly separated now. It's not
perfect -I've got intermittent spikes in volume in each ear- but it's there.
Now to get my head around these macros -they're WAY different from my 'main'
logging program. BUT. I'm very happy to have a cheap and relatively
realistic way to practice SO2R outside of the contests!
