I have a strange problem. FT8/4 works fine on my backup computer
and old backup rig TS70. Thing is this computer
( Windows 10) just shuts off after about
1 1/2 hours sometimes much less
time for no apparent reason. Using old rig with main
computer (Windows 7) after installing all
proper software WSJT/MicroHam
USB Interface 3
everything works exactly right except I can never get anyone to
respond
to my CQ"s or reply to other's CQ. Wattmeter show output ok.
My other Microham Digi Keyer2
works RTTY just fine with this computer setup.
So anyone working me tomorrow and I just disappear, you will
know why.
It should be frustrating time, wondering when computer will all
of a sudden
just shut down ! I wonder if the change from Windows 10 to
Windows 7
is the reason main computer will not work FT8 properly ?

Beware if you recently updated Windows 10. After updating Windows 10 this
morning, I found that I had lost sound connections for WriteLog/DigiRite.
When I went into WriteLog's Sound board mixer control, both my sound devices
were showing "No device" or something like that. After setting the devices
in the WL Sound board mixer control, everything started working.
With the WW-Digi contest coming up tomorrow, now is the time to check to
make sure everything is working!
