Mark first make sure you have the latest WIFlex driver installed. Wayne
(W5XD) posted on an other post the location of the new driver
https://writelog.com/flex1288b
It has full instructions. While the some of the pictures are not
current they are usable and you can get the idea. And the instructions
appear to be complete and quite extensive so hopefully that will help
Second the 8000 series of flex radios is mostly a new and faster bits of
hardware and it is compatible with the 6000 series radios. So I would
not have any problems loading a program that says it is 6000 series
compatible. If anything, if it does not work just uninstall it .
Myself being new to the Flex radio (8400) search out information on how
to do something, it is frustrating to see old information still posted,
but knowing that the 8000 series is just an upgraded version of the 6000
I have been able to get things to work. It's a learning process and I'm
plugging through it.
Hope I helped a little bit and good luck in your set ups

Ken,
To get that I need to make the flexradio emulate a Kenwood Radio which
would be the T-2000. They do have a Flexradio Driver. But they say it is
for the 6000 series. Now, whether or not that works with the 8000 series
I'm not sure. And to be honest nobody has been able to answer that question
for me as of yet. I have read directions on using a Elecraft K3 with 2
VFO's and having it work with the Software. But it seems that nobody has
come up with a guide that shows pictures on how to do this. I am trying to
be patient with Writelog to give them a chance. And if worse comes to
worse, I still have N1MM that I can fall back on. Thanks!
