[Yaesu] FT-990 QRP

Yeah I know I've flipped off the deep end. Does anyone know the 
procedure for adjusting the low output power to 5watts on a 990?  It now 
runs about 7 or 8 watts on low setting.  Does the adjustments affect the high
end output?
