- The Chinese version of the 8877 is still in question. Ameritron sells them for about $400 cheaper than the Eimac version. I personally have used the Eimacs for the last 35 years. Never had a failure

- Blower recommendations for an 8877 tube: I have been using a Dayton, IC-465 for my homebrew, pair of 8877's for over 35 years now. It is quiet but still delivers the amount of air to properly cool it
