- I bought a NOS Eimac 4CX1000a . Looking at the tube, ir shows no signs it has been used. Is their a place I can send the tube to have it Gettered and tested before installing in my Acom 2100 amp ? T

- Ed, the best place to test it is in your Acom amp itself! Just run it for a few hours with filament on but offline and no RF drive. It doesnt matter if the high voltage is also on, so long as the amp

- Yes. Do it in your own amp. Install the tube and run the heater and fan only, for a day or two. Very simple. Before you do that, if you have a 1kV Megger, you can test the cold tube, between all elem
