I agree with this absolutely. I've personally passed up several opportunities to operate in "go for broke" settings with a handful of other experienced hams, in favor of doing FD with the local gene

I agree with this completely. The 10-minute rule is a real hindrance to a m-s moving to 10 or 160 since you frequently can't count on enough activity (other than the mult you want to move or the one

As a veteran of 2 DXpeditions to V3 for the ARRL contest, I agree 1000% with this idea. My trips to Belize were one-radio operations, but we went M/S due to their being more than one operator taking

People are forever mixing up the phonetics for my call. "Sierra" and "Zero" sound very similar esp. in crowded band conditions. Half the time it comes out as N0SB, the rest N7SB or NS7B...rarely do t

As a VE, I hear this question all the time, from new licensees and people who are changing their calls with an upgrade. For at least the last year now, it has been legal to use a new call as soon as

The best way to have a greyline program and a logger on at the same time is to use a windowing environment - Windows/Win95 is OK but I use OS/2 - and have each program running in a different window.

I agree. I've been to V3 twice to do the ARRL DX contest, each time doing a 1-radio M/S using low power and just having a couple of other guys take turns with the radio to keep it on all the time...
