It's too bad these contests overlap, and that the exchanges are so similar. Not all those calling CQ specify which one they are in. There surely will be a lot of NIL penalties. 73, Scott K9MA -- Scot

Scott, Then, I changed my 'TU' message to 'TU NR4M 9A TEST', and still got RAC contestants.  There were also US stations sending me serial numbers of 300 plus.  Find that hard to believe that were in

I suspect if you do not turn in an RAC log they will be uniques at worst. You being in more than one log submitted they won't even be that. They will be counted as good QSOs (which they actually were

A lot of the European and especially eastern European contests give credit for QSOs only if both stations send in a log.  I was concerned that I may have wrongly decided which contest one or two stat

How about submitting your RAC log to 9A as a Checklog. I think that's what I'll do.  73,Ken, AB1J A lot of the European and especially eastern European contests give credit for QSOs only if both stat

I was lucky enough to work most of my EU contacts before the "9A"cw test started, and went to phone @ the opening bell of the 9A test. When I got back on CW I did have a couple callers insist on a nu

I started off Friday night at 0000Z with a RAC log. After the first 14 hours of the RAC I changed my CQ to be just "CQ TEST" not "CQ RAC TEST". And I intermittently operated using this same log, up t

Hmmm. Technically there is nothing stopping someone who operates the 9A contest from sending that same log for the RAC time contest period to be counted for the RAC contest. I already have one, altho

Even if the sponsors don't require both stations to submit logs for a contact to count, it seems NIL penalties would be likely. For example, if you log a station in your RAC log, the other op logs it

I guess it would depend on whether their log checking software can count the contacts in the RAC log. Perhaps the easiest thing would be for the sponsors of both contests to simply ignore NIL's durin

K9MA asks: " Is there a way to have two logs open in N1MM+, or does that require another computer?" In N1MM, to flip between two contests is pretty easy: Alt-F followed by 2 key will flip between two

Sounds like a pretty nice solution for overlapping contests. I particularly mean quite problematic combos of RAC Winter + 9A in December and Ontario QP + CQMM in April. Actually for the last 2 years
