How much longer till the NEW Ubicom hardware is out?? Multiple AP's All cpe's are RG-1000's w/ 4.x SR-4100 @ 5.5Mbps and decent signal (at least 16db SNR at the worst) 45 (no wep) 18 (wep) 10 (wep) A
No. The largest sector we have ....has no wep. It keeps growing and I just don't want to re-config every radio. However, I'm only creating a larger problem for myself. :( decent
"Ship back in?" That doesn't sound like a good idea. I know I've made an "oops" several times and had to reset a radio and reload it. I think that whole "software loading process" would really put a
Yeah, I'll buy much of what that book says but we are deployed in a rural/suburban area. We have all the competition in some areas and none in others. Those farmers....yeah...One asked me today how m

I just ordered a few of the 200mW cards from netgate.com I stuck one in a 4.31 Karlnet AP-1000 and it won't boot with the card inserted. Any ideas? I thought any Prisim 2 card worked. hmm
Well, I'm trying to use TC mode. The AP-1000 doesn't even boot up completely. I hangs with a red light on the PC led that the card is plugged in, regardless of slot A or B. It is an EnGenius 200mW ca
I got it working. I didn't realize (at first) that the card FW was that important. I just installed the EnGenius card at a tower today. It isn't reporting noise and will only report signal strength i
I'm using one of these engeniustech cards in an AP-1000 w/ Karlnet ISP-Base 4.31 http://www.engeniustech.com/cs/file/2511/el2511cdplusext2spec.pdf The specs say it can operate at 200mw or 100mW. Does
Look again at the PDF: RF Output Power 23dBm(200mW)--FCC 20dBm(100mW)--CE for use in Europe. Are you somewhere in europe? If so, you probably won't be able to legally use the FCC certified 200mW card
So, is there a flashrom setup that can do more than 2 interfaces? -bob -- Original Message -- From: "Tony Morella" <tonylist@wwwbiz.com> To: "'Norm Young'" <npyoung@applegatebroadband.net>; "'Karlnet
I've had problems with TC links under 15db SNR. One end always seems to die out and requires a power cycle. This is AP-1000 -> RG-1000. ISP-Base -> SR-4100 (satellite) sensitivity, an the
The speeds are set at 5.5mb now. A powercycle is necessary at the RG to restore service. Days and weeks can go by and reboots of the AP-1000 will not resolve it.
We were considering changing a tower that doesn't have many customers to 802.11b mode as was wondering if KN would possibly swap our SR-4100's for SEC clients? Anybody ever tried this? -bob
Be careful with your AP1000. There are two + pins and two - pins....I'll look them up for you. If you send it to many volts (and it isn't very tolerant) ....bu bye radio. them as
There is a "wisp-dist" by leaf bearing that has the TC support already in it. They have images for CF or other media types. Unless you are trying to do something VERY unique....just use the wisp-dist
