I just setup a cpe running Karlnet v4.02 and a 100mw card, the user is able to access the internet and the speeds are great. However, there are two issue's, I can't ping/manage the unit from my home

Ah, that problem. Dan, I had a similar situation using the PRISM II 100mW card in my PtMP slot on the AP using v4.02 about month and a half ago. (opposite situation). The signal at the CPE was great,
Norm, I guess I should mention the LINK WORKS 100%, no problems with through put quality, HOWEVER I CAN'T ping the cpe from my home network. Dan Metcalf Wireless Broadband Systems dan.metcalf@wbsysne
I can ping the cpe from my NOC, if I telnet into my core router, I can ping the CPE Are there any limitations with bridging in version 4.02? Dan Metcalf Wireless Broadband Systems dan.metcalf@wbsysne

Checked my notes, Dan, and I was seeing about a 20dB difference between remote and local signals with the 100mW card loaded in the PtMP slot. Norm home
Was the card working ? was the link stable, it appears that this link is 100% solid Dan Metcalf Wireless Broadband Systems dan.metcalf@wbsysnet.com 781-658-2075 www.wirelessbroadbandsystems.com Check
I just did a ping fill test and its receiving 3.5 to 4.5 Mbps so there is something wrong in how Karlnet is seeing the signals I think Dan Metcalf Wireless Broadband Systems dan.metcalf@wbsysnet.com
The link seemed solid...however, sometimes the reported S/N ratio would drop below 0 and the link would just quit. I suppose the code in Karlnet looks for this situation and drops the link...even tho
Strange, very strange, its only a 1.5mile link, and its LOS and all the connections are good, everything is good Dan Metcalf Wireless Broadband Systems dan.metcalf@wbsysnet.com 781-658-2075 www.wirel
I believe that Tony spoke of this a couple of times during the past month. I believe that he said precisely that it was the result of the way Karlnet was understanding the messages sent from the 100m
Ok more testing, - 1 thing to mention is that in every case of this, the unit w/ the 100mw card is Karlnet v4.02 and the other unit (ap or cpe) is version 3.79 or 3.88 Put a 100mw card into AP runnin
I wonder why for some people its NOT a problem Dan Metcalf Wireless Broadband Systems dan.metcalf@wbsysnet.com 781-658-2075 www.wirelessbroadbandsystems.com I believe that Tony spoke of this a couple
We have seen this problem as well. But we are using 200mW Microtik cards. It seems that we have better luck with the cards if there is one on each side of the link. On the backhauls anyway. We have a
I have seen this problem. If you use the Prism cards on both ends of the link, you get equally bad results, but at least you don't think anything is wrong. :)
I had a similar thing with a point to point link with one side using a Lucent card and the other using a Prism card. I change out the Lucent for the Prism, and now I'm seeing async results... howeve
Dan Your last note got me thinking all our test where with version 4.02, hmm will see what I can do about getting a 3.88 unit setup for testing. Sincerely Tony Morella Demarc Technology Group Office:
