I use the Heil gold line with my Orion. I like having the two selectable elements. I am told the hifi element really sounds good on the Orion. The dx element is great in a pileup. Carl Moreschi N4PY

I got the Studio One mike when I ordered the ORION and although I don't get into DX pileups, I do get the occasional compliment on the good audio, without any solicitations. I don't have the SSB band

i'm sure there are multiple reasons, but most tentec users are just that, not orion users or omni users or paragon users, etc. thus they tend to have an interest in all tentec products and happening

I use both a bm-10 and an older pro set with my Orion on the rare occassion I am on ssb. No mods and no troubles. If it ever acts up I will of course do the mod. Takes all of ten minutes, but why if
