- I would check your neighbors and ask them if they have a plasma TV....I experience that same kind of noise when my next door neighbors turn theirs on, which I can see from the window of the shack. __

- One handy dandy little tool to use with any receiver/antenna combination used for tracking RFI is the Elecraft AT1 step attenuator. I use it with my TECSUN PL-660 and Kenwood TH-F6 to add 1 to 41 dB

- Absolutely agree with David. Null is the way to go. A switchable attenuator is very handy as you get closer to the source. Remember that the null is broadside to the loop...max signal is off the ends
