Well thanks to all who replied with quick ideas for fixes . We found out that the problem went away after I took the xtra 4 amp draw from my palstar antenna tuner which was also hooked to the supply

Hi Carl , thanks for the quick response , yes the Orion will show power out on my meter when the tx en and tx out are jumpered together and the key loop is on and amp key tracks is on the keying loop
