Hello -- I am sorry that I do not have an specific information on the microphone cartridge. I do know it is not the same as is used in the HEIL headset. TenTec did not use the same cartridge as HEIL

Interesting commentary, Ken. I DO have a 40m ground plan with 65 radials. And it has that textbook 38 ohm low SWR you mention. It seems to work swell... but your comment suggests it could be better.
