Has anyone else had this problem with the TT 777 headset? I bet the same parts are used on the look-alike HEIL Proset-Elite, and also similar sets sold under the brand name DataVideo, like this: http
Hello -- I am sorry that I do not have an specific information on the microphone cartridge. I do know it is not the same as is used in the HEIL headset. TenTec did not use the same cartridge as HEIL
I will send my copy of the Corsair manual. I copied a crate of manuals for Scott at TT one year, so I have a pile of them on disc someplace. Look for it off list. -- K8JHR -- The manager of my local
A lot of guys like the Yamaha CM-500 headset. And for good reasons. In my opinion, the KOSS SB-45 and SB-49 (has inline vol control) at under $40 street price are at least equivalent and we use them
I tried to send you the program... but your email account rejected it because it had an attachment that is a executable program l (i.e., it has a .exe extension) Your move! I can mail you a disc if y
Golly, Rod... I am no expert... but I will take a stab at it. Are you sure you have the amp cable routed correctly? My "intuition" (i.e. my gut) says you might consider routing the amp key line from
I bet not. I predict a new major transceiver - possibly two - before they release another receiver. Just my take... after 40 years as an SWL before hamming it up. Happy days. -- K8JHR -- On 12/7/2013
..., they weight in at some 135 lbs. ... ...and one won't need to worry about the desk moving around when sending aggressive CW. _______________________________________________ I would hope not! :-0
Er... um... on the advice of Gary and Paul at TenTec, and from the Brand-X Service Dept, I eliminated the power distribution panel, and shortened all my power supply leads, and connect them directly

I use the circuit that is discussed and pictured with schematic on page 67 of the November QST. The mic capsule should be (that is I am guessing from experience with these things) capable of taking s
Ok, am confused about CM500. I got one about 3 years ago and there was no 'battery box'. I simply plugged it into the back of my K3 and it works great. Has there been a change to what is shipped now?
No PAD should be needed. The mic is fairly high output, but I've never seen a rig that couldn't be turned down enough. _______________________________________________ I chance to disagree with just

Is it any quieter now? -- JHR -- I replaced mine a few years ago with a computer box fan I had on hand that was the same size and air flow. _________________________________________________________
Greetings MH -- Here is one alternative: My friend uses 12v LED strips affixed under the shelf above an older with burned out dial lights, and this illuminates the rig nicely from above. This solutio
Hmmm... Is it possible there are multiple meanings of the word "balun" - some of which are technically correct, while other, more casual uses are used in the vernacular, but not technically correct?
Interesting commentary, Ken. I DO have a 40m ground plan with 65 radials. And it has that textbook 38 ohm low SWR you mention. It seems to work swell... but your comment suggests it could be better.
