same fixes apply to the ONMI V birdies-wise. I've done several "screwtightenings" on mine, and soldered the thru connections. It does help. Also, on the RF input board the thru wires should be solder

Agree, based upon my experience that the ALC light on the Orion does not mean much in Xverter mode. In fact, I'm not sure that the light means anything anywhere-- There seems to be a lot of variation
