Has anyone worked out a good way of indicating that one is listening both transceive and split, for example by an expedition or contest station that wants to accept callers from JA window as well as

I went over to WW2Y's station last night to get set up for the CQ 160. For an hour before sundown to an hour after I listened for VK0IR but never heard a peep. Heard some people calling, though. The

Dear Topbanders, My personal opinion is that someone was yanking our chain on this one. This guy was 20 over 9 on a short Beverage for hours, way louder than most VEs, with the exception of VE1ZZ,VE9

Good conditions on Top Band last night(12/4). Wondered what the hubbub was on 1830. I found out when I called CQ DX on 1827 and a EU station told me ZS8IR was there. Listened for a long time but not

Hello Topbanders, Spurred on by the discussion of unwanted emissions on TOPBAND, I wanted to make an observation on the OMNI VI to see if my experience was typical. I used an OMNI VI at N2RM in CQWW

This was pretty fun. Worked 421 stations for 1770 points. Best DX was 19 points for 4X4NJ, our first QSO. Conditions were funky. They seemed to favor N/S paths as south EU was missing but worked lots

Author: 104117.3104@compuserve.com (Robert g. Flory)

The policemen caused this mess. At least 5 stations clearly heard JY9QJ go back to working simplex after working split. They could hear both sides of the QSOs, which were with EU stations. When they

This window is poorly defined and confusing. As it is worded there seems to be nothing wrong with US or EU stations calling CQ in the window for DX. That practice is defeating of the purpose which is

My proposal is that in both contests W/VE and EU should not call CQ in 30-35. The ramifications are slightly different for each contest . The main thing is that the definition should be changed to de
