Have a TX-472 MDPL since new in 2006, and moved to a secon location; still using w/ a 4 El Steppir. Have recabled twice - both discretionary. Lube the cables 2x yr and chg the gear box oil annually.

I had similar concerns w/ my G-2800 & UST TX-472. However, it worked all OK once the correct orientation of the rotator motor was chosen. Tell your buddy to rotate the motor to find the correct align
