I don't have an answer for you, but since you asked such a general question I'll generalize it a bit more and suggest you do a search on: measuring antennas with drones I read one such article a few

For a roof-mounted vertical you only need 2 radials per band but they must be tuned. Like another poster said you can get a better match at the feedpoint by angling them downwards, just like for a VH

More info... I measured the bolts that were on the tower originally (reminder: They were SAE Type 5). The majority of them are 2" long, 3/4" diameter, and the heads fit a 1-1/8" wrench. The two hinge

I bought a NanoVNA V2 roughly a year ago and it was non-functional when I opened the package. I loosened the front-panel screws a little and it became functional. Kept it. The earlier models didn't h

Not to keep this thread going forever, but this seems to fit the original query as well: Goubau line, otherwise known as G-line. Has a transformer at each end and an open transmission line. The open

The transformers for G-line would probably be untenable for HF. Might be manageable for UHF or even higher VHF. So never-mind. -- Curt, WE7U http://xastir.org http://www.sarguydigital.com ___________
