A mast of this quality and price is a investment for many years, I would have it galvanized so it is protected for decades , instead of 3-4 years that paint would last....Not a place to pinch pennies

IMO Rustoleum is a typical hardware store 'homeowner's' product. A good quality industrial, marine or cold galvanizing coating will probably do a better job. I would suggest checking with industrial
