I have a 20 foot 4130 CM unpainted mast at 85 feet. This is one area I may have overlooked when I put up the tower a while back. I guess my thinking was that in a "no salt air" environment I, myself would rust away long before this mast does. Doesn't a layer of rust actually act as a protector anyhoo? 73, Matt--K7BG -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting.com/towertalkfaq.html Submissions: towertalk@contesting.com Administrative requests: towertalk-REQUEST@contesting.com Problems: owner-towertalk@contesting.com Search: http://www.contesting.com/km9p/search |
