I've looked through the archives and haven't found the answer yet....has anyone used or considered the use of 1" copper pipe to run to connect up an SPG system? I have about a 75' run from my backyar

Sorry Gary! My fault. SPG = single point ground system, where all points -- tower, equipment ground, power company ground, telephone company and cable company grounds are all tied to one common groun

The problem with using copper pipe is: current. You need a good mechanical connection! Solder does not fall into this category! specification is 8" minimum bend. This may be an NEC code too. Lightnin

That kind of defeats the whole concept of making certain there is no potential difference between the ground at the tower and station and the home electric ground doesn't it? And (unless I'm wrong...
